Fallout 3 stuttering

evening all,

 

played through Fallout New Vegas and recently got F3. (love it!)

Running on a 7970m gpu windows 7. The launcher sets all quality to ultra, when i go into the game while its smooth at times it stutters as it loads textures in places. just want to make sure stuff like this is normal? is it the game engine or lower settings?or set the graphics to low and install a nice texture mod. cheers if anyone can help

You can also try the Large Address Aware Enabler to asllow FO3 to utilise more than 2GB of RAM.

 

The 7970m is better than my card, so I doubt Optimised textures will help any, as I use NMC's texture pack for higher res textures and don't have the stutter issue.

 

Try high (or even low for testing purposes) and see if the stutter still exists and report back :)
