ChaozLordi
Hello. I have a kind of a noobish question, but let me introduce the problem. I'm trying to make a "buildable" weapon and therefore i would like to build its' model from bits of clutter. It is to include a hot plate and a coffee pot as its' parts. I have easily managed to separate the hot plate base from it's glass part, but have been thus far unable to cut the coffe pot into bits. I would like to remove the handle and the pouring bit, but since it exists as one mesh in nifskope, i can't figure out a way to do it. Are there better .nif editors? Can i cut it in nifskope as it is?
rabidwargamer
To the best of my knowledge unless it is a mesh with multiple parts, like separating the hotplate, you cannot edit models in nifskope. You would need 3D modeling software like 3ds Max or Blender to actually edit the models.
Skree000
Yup. to edit models that are unimesh you need a 3d package. Blender is free. Alternatively, more powerful, less free 3d packages are...3dstudio maxMayaSoftimage XSIModoLightwaveBryceHoudini
