Wait a second... don't ever give a 'desastrous' advice such as this!

'Not' using the official patch will render 90% of mods 'disfunctional'.

Any plugin or masterfile created with a 1.2 version of the CS (nowadays almost all) as a matter of fact will simply be 'silently ignored' (no errors, no warnings, just as if the file physically wasn't present) by a pre-1.2 game version.

Using any version of Oblivion other than v1.2.0416 (latest official patch, SI or not) nowadays is just asking for trouble big time. >90% of released mods will 'not' work. That's why most mods published have game version 1.2.0416 mentioned in the requirements. They will not work at all without it, the game won't even be able to 'read' them.

Always install the game first,

then Shivering Isles (or not),

then the latest official patch v1.2.0416 (SI or not),

then any DLC you might want (minus Shivering Isles, of course, as that one's a game changer (.EXE, .ESM, BSAs are all modified, not added)),

and then any of the Unofficial patches for the expansions or DLC you might be using (not using the UOP nowadays is just silly, that's where I totally agree with you),

and only then any other mods (as the Unofficial patches could otherwise revert their changes back to Vanilla, if not installed 'before' them).

UH hello im not talking about load order here, And maybe i wasnt crystal clear.

Stick with the patches that comes with the game, and then add the unofficial ones.

This is my setup anyway 88 mods, 1100 hours of gameplay 4 crashes in total !!! if you think bethesda are doing such a good job take a look on skyrim!!!

Well, I'm sorry, but it was your first line:

Remember to patch your game,And for heavens sake dont use bethesdas official ones "theyre crap"

+ the list of all the Unofficial ones,

This made it reading like "don't use the Official patches, only use the Unofficial ones instead.", which as you might know will only lead to modding-suicide, trying to use mods with a 1.1 or earlier unpatched game version.

That's why I stepped in, before any eyewitness takes this advice for true and destroys his or her game in the process.

I honestly can't tell where you got 'load order' from though. Neither me nor Nephenee adressed this.

I only listed the one-and-only 'install' order for the game, the patch, expansions, and DLCs, only for convenience, because ever since I became an active member I had to explain this like about 100 times by now to people asking.

And for the records, I think Bethesda are doing one of the worst jobs I've ever witnessed in game design so far. Their games are all reknown for being bug-fests and support is aborted while still in a premature state, any further fixing left up to the modding community. It was only the essence of your first line "Don't use Official patches" which I could impossibly leave unadressed and knowingly let it cause desaster.
