Cant save cloth editor settings - PLEASE HELP

Im using the toolkit to add some custom armour but im unable to save any changes in the cloth editor

im getting this message when i try save the mesh settings:

"Unable to save cloth mesh Package is protected. Protected items can not be modified."

any ideas how to save it?
