dauntedx
I am pretty adept in Photoshop, and i know all games use different file extensions. I want to use the texture for Jesse's black shirt and add a band logo to it. I am not finnding any tutorials or anything on the process to export/import. Anyone have a tutorial or that can assist me please?
Staykarbine
Seconding this, tried my hand at retexturing using GIMP, couldn't get it to work
Smoothly43
I've had minimal luck editing existing textures from mods, namely by importing them into daz which reads the .tex files as .dds ; exporting the edited map as a .dds and renaming to .tex works for some textures and not for others by using the various BC/DXT compression options however it seems to vary by what the texture is for whether or not the game will accept any of the compression sets. The hair textures for example don't seem to accept ANY of the compression option GIMP offers. Add my name to the list of those desperate to know the compression options I should be looking at to make my textures work and thanks in advance to whomever shares the deets Edited June 22, 2021 by Smoothly43
Staykarbine
Fellas, this is gonna sound insane, but I seem to have found a tutorial of some sort, and the main thing is to literally add .dds to the .tex file extension, like jesse_expedition_bottom_n.tex.dds . When you finish your edits, you delete the .dds extension. I tried it and it actually worked? Edited June 23, 2021 by Staykarbine
