June 1st patch effected my list and I had to start over. 10 games no mods and no problems. I added mods slowly and this is what I've discovered so far. Remove Jump ship animation WorksMarket place Equipment Viewer Works -does not show on mod listStar Map missions logo's Works Biome Heat effects WorksTesting Bigger Criticals Works -does not show on mod listCockpit Glass was updated to be compatible Max Tonnage Works - 1 system freeze after 3 games MW5 Compatibility pack 1.7.3 Does Not Work does not show on listTTrulesAI Mod V1_3 Does NOT WorkCoyote Missions Pack Does NOT Work, --but he posted that he's working on itMerc Tech Does not WorkMercs Reloaded Does not Work Renegotiate Does not Work- error message after opening movie RenegotiateOriginally it did work, I used it for a few games, but then when I returned it totallydid not work. I removed them and the game worked fine. Word of note: If you get an error message after adding a mod, delete the mod file and then delete modlist.json file in your mod folder. The modlist.json is just the games load mod list. It creates another one after you re-select the mods you want. Shoot Move and Communicate Mech Warriors! These work/dont as of June 1st Be sure to check if they are updated sine this day. Enough testing, I want to play now. It would be useful if the MODERATOR could pin a definitive list of tested and approved working mods with version numbers at the beginning of the thread. Its possible that the core DLC without mods will freeze? Or it is possible that one or more of the above mods is causing it. This will take a long time for me to test each mod for several games to figure it out. So it would be helpful if others would post their experiences with different mod combinations to help narrow down which ones will work and which ones do not. So lets all choose one or two mods and start posting if we were able to get through 3 games or not. I've spent quite a few hours doing this already. I've found six mods that don't immediately cause the game to be unplayable. Sadly it seems the best mods don't work, but some of the smaller ones do. They did another small update and i had hoped it was to fix this mod issue. Looks like some things in my mod list did get fixed. Star Map Mouse Over - Mission Logos https://www.nexusmods.com/mechwarrior5mercenaries/mods/150 - works Remove JumpShip Animation - https://www.nexusmods.com/mechwarrior5mercenaries/mods/100 - works. file is MPU in mod list. Loading time seemed to be faster too, but i only tested once. Expanded HardPoints - https://www.nexusmods.com/mechwarrior5mercenaries/mods/284?tab=files - Works! i used the 1.1 lore restriction version. I was able to fit a PPC into a medium energy slot. All of the above work in tandem with each other All of the below do not work by itself or obviously in tandem with others.MW5 Mercs Reloaded - https://www.nexusmods.com/mechwarrior5mercenaries/mods/161?tab=description - Does not work. crash on logo. File is Extended_Mechlab in modlist. Better Pilots - https://www.nexusmods.com/mechwarrior5mercenaries/mods/333 - Doesn't work. File is MoreLevels in mod list Multiplayer Co-op Permissions Update - https://www.nexusmods.com/mechwarrior5mercenaries/mods/140?tab=files - Does not work when loading a co-op game. It seems like anything that changes a number, or adds buttons, is what crashes the game right now. Changing the hardpoints only changed the slot size of the weapons. If it's before May 28th 2021, it probably doesn't work any more and won't until the mod author fixes it. For instance, Reloaded literally says on its Description pageNote: This mod is not compatible with the new version of MW5 that is released on Steam or any other platform, and there is no immediate plan for an update. Nothing PGI is going to update themselves will suddenly make those mods works again unless they roll back all the changes they made (highly unlikely). You'll have to either find new mods that do those things and are actually still being updated by their authors, or live without.
