I've been trying to get this problem sorted out but I converted and modified a hair mesh for New Vegas and for some reason, even with the .egm file for the hat version there, the mesh having the hat version contained within it that was ripped from the bedraggled vanilla hair but for some weird reason it either displays itself under a hat or makes my character completely bald.
