SirMagus
So I've made my mesh/model. I made a dagger, but I can't seem to figure out what to do when I get to NifScope. I made the Model, made textures for it, connected them to the Nif file through Blender, saved the file as Nif. But when I open the file in NifScope, what do I do? Like how do I make a "box" around the dagger so when it falls it lands on the ground or acts in certain ways depending on how it falls to the ground? And how do I choose the hand positioning on the dagger? And so on... Everything I did was make a new model saved as a Nif file and opened it in NifScope, that's as far as I've gotten so you know where I'm at. What do I do in NifScope to complete the file? And I know how to put it inside the game and choosing stats and so on, so I don't think I need help with that yet =P Thnx!
xxXEvandarXxx
I do it this way: I usually import a vanilla weapon when my mesh is done and then scale my mesh to the right size and then put it in the right place, and then delete the imported weapon but keep the collision objects (and scale them too if I need to). SirMagus
Vanilla weapon? and also, I dunno how to do any of the import things and changing stuff in NifScope, is there any tutorials for this? Except for bad quality video tuts on youtube.
xxXEvandarXxx
Vanilla weapon = just a normal weapon from Oblivion, not from a mod. To be able to import these you'll need to extract them from the BSAs. The BSA Browser in Oblivion Mod Manager can do this. As far as I know, you need some sort of 3D modeling program to put your weapon in the right place and add collision, you cannot do this in NifSkope. But you probably have this already if you have made your weapon, right? If you use Blender I can help you, if you use some other modeling program, I can't.
