Or maybe there is a better way to level ? Thanks in advance
MaistoHelix
Kill Kill Kill  Do you use any mods? If you do then you're best off with exploring around the Mall, lots of Mutants there, start at the Super Duper and fight your way to the Capitol Building and sweep it clean, should get you to level 10ish. With no mods its best to be as productive as you can,do the vault quests and get as much stuff out of vault 101 as you can,so you can sell it to Moira in Megaton..and buy better weapons so you can fight the Mutants to level up faster..a tip is to go to the little town near Megaton and talk to the woman in the house, you can talk her out of some money..or hack Moriarty's safe in the saloon! Get the best perks and think about it..use the ones that stack up every level or give you additional skill points etc..try Medicine,Small Guns and Repair as your skills, works very well at the start of a new character, nothing as sweet as a headshot with the scoped 0.44 when you level up..the extra money should make it able for you to buy one.. Then you can do the same as with mods, make your way from Super Duper to the Capitol..lots of tunnels, subways and buildings on the path, and if you take the right route you can take the Hospital and Hotel as well, giving you lots of goodies to sell and use! MaistoHelix
I use the personal vault mod,its got all the standard weapons and ammo and you have a nice place to use as a sort of HQ.. I also use the Dukov's place mod, which has some very nice custom weapons and an ammo box that respawns munition...and i just love this mod for the art work! And some more mods to make the game more interesting..i try not to overdo it on the weapons, takes away the challenge.. As for the 10mm ammo, you should open the Weapons cabinet inside the overseer's office before you escape,it has 100 rounds..the sniper rifle is a little out of league when you start. Thats why i use the 0.44 scoped...you have a gun, sniper rifle and shotgun in one weapon!Only problem is the reloading..and accuracy. You could opt for the Agatha quest and get the BlackHawk,my favourite weapon!Or add it via console :whistling:
AdamV
To get 10mm bullets go kill some raiders. First use what ammo (or use caps to by ammo if you have none) you have to kill a mutant and get a hunting rifle. Then go get .32 ammo from Moira and go hunting non-animals. Though I reccomend not worrying about leveling/getting ammo in un-modded fallout. It is really easy, you'll have thousands of extra bullets by the time you are done the game and if you did all the quests available to you, you'd reach max level before you're done the main quest. Also melee weapons can be effective if you leveled your skill or can sneak. At night time go kill raiders with them and use what melee weapons they drop to repair your current weapons and you'll stock up on ammo/level up as a result

Michlo
I'm curious. Why would you want to do this? Isn't that going to seriously hamper your enjoyment of continuing on? Cheers.

buddah
I have found this mod to be quite acceptable for leveling: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1770 It has many options to allow you to become exactly what you want, a cheat perhaps but after the 6th or 7th play through, you just want to go out and cause a little havoc in the neighborhood.
