Problems with NBAIO and Body Variety mod

Hello....
I used to have both mods installed and working....i copied the package/core/override folder, to keep it as a backup in case of crashes of my pc.
Which happened.
Now, after having re-installed dragon age, i copied that folder to replace the default one...

All mods work fine, except for these two: i can't get to configure the mod to give each companion a customized body, it only works for the main character (but i still can't decide WHICH body to use)..
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling with mod manager, but nothing changes. Also, speaking of the body variation mod, mod manager says that i already have one of those dazips installed, but i can't configure it...
What can i do? I have like 30-35 mods installed, so it would be a huge pain for me having to re-install all the stuff...

NV4 requires more than just the files in the "\override" folder. Presuming you uninstalled it according to the author's instructions, you would have deleted the "NVariety Tool" scripting program that allows it to make all the required changes in body models depending on your choices. You have to re-install (or at least re-start) that part too to get it to work again.

II. Installation

If you used any version of the mod or the tool before, please uninstall it including the model and texture files before using Version 4.1 and NVariety Tool v4.6.2

1. Install the NVariety Tool v4.6.2 to a place with enough free space (~ 1gb). All model and texture files you want to use with the mod will temporarily be placed on this drive.

2. Install the 'Natural Bodies All in One' Override with DAOMM if you want to use the models/textures for this mod.

3. Start the NVariety Tool v4.6.2. Under Windows 7 and Vista, you will have to run the program as administrator!

Sounds like there's much more going on here. I'd copy my saves and mod folders, then do a complete un-/re-instrall.

(Depending on your install method, can take an hour-or-so to get things sorted, to an-hour-or-so plus however long your intenet connection takes to get the 24GB downloaded. )

Eh, i will finish this game through, then will do it....

In the meanwhile, i lost all my equipment in the wending wood, and the stupid autosaves don't allow me to load a previous save. is there a fix? A console command to debug, or whatever?

I swear to god, i am very close to killing someone -.-

  • 5 months later...

Exactly the same for me! Works on a number of PC's.

This machine no matter what I do it will not install overrides.

I have replaced all DAZips and made new override with NVariety tool.

DAO MM is in the BioWare directory. Its all configured with correct paths.

All the DAZips work correctly.

It appears to install the Override. I get the msg 'Override is compatible' then nothing

Don't know what to try next! Is there another way to install an override file??? I can eliminate some areas if can do
