alottagreek
I have had trouble installing and uninstalling mods for some time now. When I try and install Static Mesh Improvement Mod, it gives me this error at the end of installation: "A problem occurred during install: Exception of type 'Nexus.Transactions.RollbackException' was thrown.ChinhDo.Transactions.TxFileManager+TxEnlistmentFailed to roll back.Access to the path'C:\Users\jhadg_000\AppData\Local\Temp\CdFileMgr\-59c7933d-afe7-4a.nif' is denied. The mod was not installed." The letters and numbers after \CdFileMgr\ in the error message change each time I retry installing the mod, which is peculiar. I have tried installing JUST this mod and no others, and still no success. If i install smaller mods, they work just fine. Other mods such as Skyrim HD 2k Textures Landscapes will successfully install, but the manager won't turn them green. They will stay red with an X and look like they are not installed. When I exit the NMM and reopen it, they are still red. I try installing the mod again, and the same error as mentioned above pops up. Uninstalling other mods will create an error with a trace log that isn't described on the forums, and will say NMM needs to close. I have redownloaded each mod I am trying to install to make sure they are clean copies. I have ran NMM as an administrator and vice versa. I have followed pretty much every suggestion that has to do with installing mod issues. But I have not seen any forum posts about this specific message. Does anyone else get this rollback error? Any suggestions? If you need any info or stats about my computer, ask and I'll tell. I'm a noob. Thanks! alottagreek
The solution is here, for anyone having this problem and using Trend Micro antivirus software. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1007729-how-to-fix-nexus-mod-manager-with-trend-micro/ Oddly enough, I've been searching for a month for a solution and coincidentally found one an hour and a half after I made this post. Whoops.
