A little scripting help i would assume

Ok here is the scoop we have an NPC Companion that is required to use ONLY the weapon we give him and nothing else, the problem comes when he is fighting he will pick up a gun, we cant have that I am sure there would be a script or something that could take care of this?

The poor dude just wants to upgrade his arsenal!

 

Does changing his Responsibility to 100 stop him from collecting other stuff?

Im pretty sure it stops NPCs from stealing, but im unsure if it stops them collecting..

Which Responsibility?

well seeing as how no one can come up with the answer i have another on to go along with this so i will list both:

 

I need a way of preventing an NPC from picking up any other weapon except his currently equipped one. whether it be in a script or fuddling with the item itself in the GECK (either way no clue how, haven't seen a tutorial out there cover this one)

 

and, I need a way to have the NPC hostile to you in the beginning and then once he goes unconscious and gets back up, He will then and only then be recruitable (kind of like a "you have defeated me in battle therefor you are now my master, command me type thing)
