silenthawk9
so first a few months ago I got the game, mods, and dlc and all work perfectly fine. I think I put about 100 hours or so in it. I stopped playing it for a these past few months and just went back to play it this past week. it would start up then crash somewhere from the copyrights slide to the bethesda slide. long story short I ended up purging my computer of fallout new vegas altogether and downloading and reinstalling everything (mods included) and now it'll let me play a couple hours before a random crash which it then goes back to crashing between the copyrights slide and bethesda slide. If I de-activate any one of my mods, though, I can pick it back up for another couple hours before the same thing happens, where I could de-activate a different mod and let this cycle continue. I've done it a few times now, and unsure how to fix it.
dco28
try lowering your settings and reduce your mods. Use performance utilities you can find here on nexus, Optimezer textures, fallout new vegas optimized, fake fullscreen. I also had the same problem once, i think its a memory failure, the cpu cant handle too much memory used. (not a computer expert)
