The hidden Ayleid

Hello fellow modders, this is Gruntwithahat.

I have begun to work on a small project by myself that focuses on the Ayleids. I have always wondered to myself, where could this mysterious civilization have gone to? Surley they couldn't of just died out. Well I am here to bring you a small story of what really happened to them.

The Ayleids were on the brink of destruction. Their civilization was crumbling and their race dying out. They were losing hope in their existence until one Ayleid Sorcerer came up with a brilliant idea. Using the Ayleid's powerful magicka, they created their own world, a sorta paradise as I say, to escape to. Unfortunately not all the Ayleids were able to make it to paradise, thus fooling man into believing they died out. As the ayleids came to their new paradise, they achieved a new state of being, Ascended Etheral. They live in peace and harmony, hidden from the world they left behind.

Thats the whole idea of it. The WIP i have now is mainly focused on the landscape. I am making this as beautiful and very detailed as I can. Below are a few screenshot links i have taken in the early formation of the new world.

Landscape: I tried to make the Ayleid world as detailed and as beautiful as I can. Please leave some positive feedback.

landscape2

landscape3

landscape4

New Ayleid reflective armor: I have worked up a new WIP reflective armor for the ayleids. Right now it just reflects the standard elven armor

Here is just a Ayleid NPC that is in his ascended etheral state. I kinda like the way the ghost npcs look XD

well thats it for now. Please leave some feedback and I am open to ideas for the mod. Please note that it is in its earliest of stages so most of the pics above will be changed or not.

Sincerely,

The fate of the Ayleids is fairly well documented in The Last King of the Ayleids (http://www.imperial-library.info/obbooks/last_king_ayleids.shtml). That does not mean that you need to stick to it, of course.

I know what happened to them but i dont care. This is supposed to be a lore extension like what if this really happened. I would respect no flame about oh thats not TES lore cuz i dont care.

i am trying to make an ayleid realm myself, and it is very hard especally that the place i am making is gigantic. i think you will need to get a ayleid retexture to make them building look good, i cannot remember the one i have used for mine but i can tell you when i find out, also you will need new armor, buildings, possably a new world and alot more, like sofar i have just installed lots of meshes and textures and installesd them on the cs, and i have been working on it for quite some time now but that shall not put you off, it did not with me :). if you need any help you can aways pm me or write a comment on my profile and i will help where ever i can like links to places where you can download certain things and also help with the cs if you are having a proplem. but i hope you will do a good mod because it already hears good . there are alot of people doing things about the ayleids right now so you could get quite abit of help. if you want to see what i have done you could look at the ''the ayleid kingdom'' topic because that is all about my mod, so you can have a look there to get some ideas or even say somethings what you think will be good for mine.

so basicly if you need help with your mod just ask me if you need help and i will try and help you where ever i can, because i really do think the ayleids deserve a second chance...

I have been modding for 6 years so no i dont need help. This isnt suppose to be a large mod so I wont be adding any new ayleid architecture or new meshes. I did add a few new statue meshes and new swords but thats it. The realm itself is suppose to be a small, mainly detailed landscape.

I dont wish to make new armor because personally i think the standard reflective looks just fine.

As I said, this was just a Early WIP that i just wanted some feedback.

Looks good. Are you going to retuxture and remesh some buildings, so that they look new and clean rather than destroyed? Ayleid houses etc?

No I wont be adding new houses. My plans for this mod is that the realm is suppose to kinda decayed and mainly an ayleid world space. I might add new houses but I will see what i can create with 3dsmax 9. But for now its mainly suppose to be a world that is kinda overgrown by the flora of the world or idk

ok then, i was just happy to offer my help anyway :) well to get alot of ideas for an ayleid realm is to look in the ayleid ruins themselfs, they are the most accurate source of the ayleids you can see, yes they all may be distroyed but a tip is to imagen them as brand new and people walking around them and living in them, like you have to think how will they go up things like stairs and not be killed by falling of a ledge. but you should know then if you have beem moddeling for three/six years then depending o what have read..., but just explore the ruins, read the books about them and also add your own touches to the ayleids how 'you' think they should be, like with mine they have scavenged tecnology but that is only because it once was not an ayleid realm but the ayleids took over it, so think of a story mainly aswell because this will help you plan where things in your world will go and how the attitudes of people in the realm and everything else is. another thing with mine i have said that they lost there tecnology and magic due to a great war what happened 1500 years ago in the game, so this helps explain why there is basic magic in the realm and this saves me time with other things with the mod because it will give me more time. so go on think of a good story of how they are there and why and also just explore the ruins themselfs...

You seem to throw a lot of ideas...i like that in people. Since you seem to have a decent ayleid knowledge, if you want, I would like to hear some ideas of a story from you.
