Damnit
For the love of God why is there always something wrong with my game? No matter what I install, how many times I reinstall FO3, what mods I use or dont use, or how i have it setup there'a always something wrong.... But before I get into that let me post my specs: Vista 32AMD Phenom X4 9950Gigabyte GA-MA790GP-DS4HGTX 280 SSCCorsair Dominator DDR2 PC8500 2x2Gb160gb and 320gb SATA II HD'sCreative X-fi Fatality Pro I thinks its a pretty safe bet that my game shouldnt be running at 1/2 FPS but with these new fandangled NexGen games these days, who knows... It happens roughly 5min into the game without fail. Before a complete reinstall it was crashing every 5minutes, so I guess that can be considered an improvement? Ive tried enabled/disabling/uninstalling all my mods but to no avail, stopped OC'ing but still nothing, turned off my background programs, restarted explorer, even ran *ban* Adwhere. Please help. This game is tits and I dont want to give up on it like I gave up on Clear Sky.

Damnit
Thanks for the reply guys. Ill try the run as administrator deal and see if that helps. Also when I say it runs at 1/2 FPS Im not exaggerating, it really does take every 2 seconds for game to respond. bben46
Is it only FO3? or does anything else run slow?Check for viruses, Spyware, other malware. Shut down any unneeded processes, such as MS index service which can decide that it needs to reindex everything at inconvenient times. Some antivirus programs run continuously in the background, as do some anti Spyware programs. Disconnect from the imnternet and shut down all Antivirus, anti spyware, anti malware programs, as well as any IM, Skype and xfire programs. For testing, try running just the vanilla game, no mods. I prefer FRAPS for watching fps. Check this site for Vista, Video board and game tweaks that can speed you up.http://www.tweakguides.com/Contact.html
Damnit
No, its just that game. Ive tried turning off all my background programs, Ive run anti-spyware and antivirus scans in the recent past, rebooted, OC'd, underclocked even, deleted my profiles, cleaned the registry, and deleted the all config files I could find, disabled GFWL, uninstalled Securom, reinstalled securom, and it still just wont go. Im beginning to think this game just hates me :(. Probably due to all the needless murders I do when Im trying out new things. Karma really is a female dog... I tried Oblivion to see if there was something similar, seeing as the two games share a lot in common and TES IV couldnt run any better.
