Okay a weird one...

Recommended Posts

A bit of a wierd one this... I've never come across this before.

I've created/re-landscaped a small area for a new location... in the CK all looks good...
but in game there are a couple of rock meshes that are still there.

Nor can I find it in xEdit.

I've also tried moving my mod to the bottom of the load order in case it is from another mod... no change.

The biggest problem is I can't even select them ingame either... trying to just selects stuff that is under/behind them ???

Anyone any ideas ?

By way of an update...

By accident I may have found something... it seems it could be to do with a mesh that is even invisible and practically impossible to select in the ck

It appears there are a lot of these meshes used for landscaping in SSE...

and about the only way to see them in the CK is to view your scene with 'collision geometry' turned on.

Once I discovered this (only been modding SSE for the best part of 10yrs :D ) landscaping the area as I wanted it was then fairly straight forward.

Does anyone know anything else about these strange meshes ?

Yes I'm using the fixes :)

I guess in all the years I've modded SSE this must be the first time I've done so in a icy/snowy area so is the first time I've come across this...

There must be a reason they did it this way... umm ... this is Bethesda so maybe not

I could be off base, but I only remember seeing threads about it when SSE came out, and it seemed at the time to fit in with the sudden expansion of the selectable areas of trees and such. I don't know. I wonder if it had something to do with the change from strips to triangles, maybe?
