xeye101
I can't for the life of me figure out what I'm doing wrong. Probably something very stupid. I created a custom object in 3DS Max then exported it as a Skyrim Nif. I then open it up in Nifskope and remove all the NiMaterialProperties and copy paste a working Skyrim BSLightingShaderProperty into each NiTriShape. The texture works fine on any vanilla object but appears as a solid block colour on my custom object. I've checked my NiTriShapeData settings and BSLightingshader settings against a vanilla mesh but i can't figure out what's wrong? Here are some images of my Nifskope Mesh: Messed up solid block texture:http://postimg.org/image/ynm0gyvhj/ NiTriShape:http://postimg.org/image/jqdjfyi93/ NiTriShapeDatahttp://postimg.org/image/l2v8hufon/ BSLightingShaderPropertieshttp://postimg.org/image/x60k5eqqv/ BSSShaderTextureSethttp://postimg.org/image/huqr4stev/ Any help would be very much appreciated! This is really frustrating me :wallbash:
nonoodles
It's been a while since I touched meshes but if by 'solid block' of colour, you mean exactly what it sounds like, then the UV map has been messed up post-export. Which version of nifskope are you using? IIRC, RC6 and below handle UV fine, and the versions above those don't so you could try re-importing and c/p'ing the branches using RC6 or below. Ahhh ok it's strange as it's never done this on custom models before. I use RC4 so I'm not sure that is the problem. Thanks for the reply anyway :)
xeye101
Still can't figure out what i'm doing wrong after another day. Could it be a UV mapping problem? Please help me out as i'm sure it's something simple and i'm just being stupid.
