KingBlanko
My mods are currently installed on a 260GB SSD. Load times are almost instant with 200 mods. Problem is, Iâm running outta space and my modding addiction is growing. I moved my {Vorrex/Roaming} downloads to my backup 1TB HDD to save some space. Vortex deploys mods to the SE data directory through hard links which take up almost no space. If I move my mod directory to my backup HDD, the hard links will still apply to my SSD SE data directory(in theory?) Knowing this hereâs my question. The question is will this slow down my load times? If my mods are all installed on a HDD? But my games installed on my SSD? It makes sense but then it donât make sense. Can some clarify. KingBlanko
So I did some research for anyone that happens to come across this. According to vortexâs info links, the hard link contains the same data as the original and wonât impact performance.
