A specific character build

I decided to try a different style, and built my new character up so she's good at Big Guns, Melee Weapons and Unarmed.

 

Other than getting the various bobbleheads, is there any advice y'all can give for playing a character like that?

Be next to impossible. Big gun ammo is rare, and big guns fail to live up to their name.

 

Melee/unarmed will just require you to use alot of stimpaks, so its not really impossible, as theres billions of them.

Try to support your close-ranged fighting with good medicine skills. And you should try to have at least a moderate skill in small guns, regardless of who you intend your character to be.

So take the perks like Scrounger, Fast Metabolism and Adamantium Skeleton?

 

And yeah, I was thinking of just keeping the Xuanlong Assault Rifle in the inventory as a small guns backup.

With the Ninja perk and 5 luck, you will always score a critical with the Deathclaw gauntlet. With that and better criticals, you can destroy anything in several hits.
