I can easily get his health to 50% But my problem is the darkspawn !! there is too many of them !! even if I mange to beat most of them eventually I just die ! err ! I couldnt win this battle when the game first came out and I cant now :( I think I have good equipment and Armour, most of them are downloaded. and I havent done anything to the tactics cause I dont understand them. my party is, a warrior, Alistair, Wayne, Morgain , my level is 20-19 and the game is on EASY :( Is there anyway to do this ? frakle
Well I beat the game as an Elf dual wielding Fighter, a playstyle that most people consider "obsolete" and "a crappier rogue" on Normal or whatever the normal difficulty is called (i didnt change it). What kind of class are you? Mage/fighter/rogue? What kind of gear does your team use? Be specific but not specific. Say, for, Alistar (as an example) "Well he's got heavy armor with a shield" or "medium armor with a claymore". patdc
I'm normal around 24 lvl. Which of the army units are you using, or have they all gone on the way to the roof. Ifd you just want to complete the battle any way you could use the Skip the Fight Mod http://dragonage.nexusmods.com/mods/2672 to get to the ending. Thandal
I have frequently forgotten to employ my allies completely, and always (since my third playthrough) am on Nightmare. The absolutely easiest way to defeat Archie is to ignore the Darkspawn hordes completely (except when they are directly attacking your Rogue) and use the ballistae to reduce the AD's heath to almost nothing, At 50-to-100+ points of damage with each strike, and ZERO damage to you, it's a win-win! ;D Just keep switching to a ballista within range each time he moves to a new location on the rooftop, and be sure to have a Rogue in the Party to repair it when it "jams".
mcgoy
And spirit damage - remember to take the spirit balm and/or be wearing the helm that reduces spirit damage.

vixengrrr
Make sure your mage is a healer and have those health potions handy.Whats your stats? I find that Dext. & Strength is key for warriors and rogues.for mages focus on magic. And there's always the immortal cheat ..... The first time, I didn't even know there were cheats for that.As soon as I found out I used them to experience all possible endings with Alistair & my warrior noble fem warden. Good luck!
