dan19
Hey everyone. I recently just 'acquired' Nerano Manor to place all my loot. I placed several scrolls and soulgems in the large cabinet/dresser (left side of the bedroom when you enter). The problem is when i reterned after a while and looked in there, my items where gone. Does anyone know why something like this might happen? Thanks
FlightlessBird
I'm not sure if this is a solution but once you place an excessive amount of items in a place, for example...a house or manner, an "overflow loot bag" comes up and the game automatically places items in it for storage. its pretty weird and i cant figure out the motives behind it but it might be what happend to your things. overflow loot bags show up very close to where your stuff was...eh i could be right. Edit:Xbox version only yep. thanks for the heads up NCbeachbum
NCBeachBum
It should also be mentioned that the overflow loot bag is only on the XBOX version, so if he is on PC, that couldn't possibly be the explanation.
dan19
Thanks for the responses. I am using the XBOX version, and I also thought the overflow loot bag was the problem. I looked around, but didn't find one. Does anyone know where the overflow loot bag would appear in the Nerano Manor?
InstInct
Well there could be another explanation altogether. If you encouter a crate/container etc. that contains random loot, not preset loot like in most containers in city's, then the random contents resets after a while, and new loot appears. But if you've placed items in that one they'll dissapear when the reset accurs. Have you encountered new items that weren't there before in ur cabinet/dresser? dan19
Nope, it is just empty. This is proving to be quite the conundrum  Thanks for all the help though.
Untouchable1
i think most of the general 'disappearances' occur in crates, boxes, and closets. at least thats the way it is with me. i was so frustrated with my first character because i had been playing him for over two months, and really you start encountering most of the glitches in xbox after say the first month. so anyway i have had my suit of uber armor disappeared from the closet atop Shenks Shovel in Caldera several times, and lost many pieces of glass and ebony armor due to this kind of 'item dumping' glitch. my only advice if you cant find your stuff is just to load a backsave, which I religiously preach the advantages of having. or MAYBE... yeah MAYBE this is the programmers way to simulate random thefts in the game? :shifty: just a thought. dan19
Well, the scrolls/gems are gone for good, but they were nothing unique or irreplacable, so no big deal. I won't be putting anything else in there for fear of losing it again. I guess all the other peole who store stuff in the closet in Nerano Manor should learn from this-Don't Do It! Thanks for your help everybody.
VaanicOne
hang on, this is just a thought, and only a thought, maybe the game might have dumped these items in an "evidence" chest for some unknown reason, why don't you check there?
