Zynoq Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 I've seen quite a few custom made guns at the fallout 3 nexus but I can't figure out how they got them working in game. I've already made the mesh but I don't know how to get it working. I read a tutorial on how to replace my the vanilla models with my own but i still can't make work. I'd appreciate if some one told me how i'm suppose to do.
SpeedyB64 Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Explain your steps and exactly how you are doing them and we can analise what you are doing wrong. Then we will get this all figured out and working great
Zynoq Posted February 10, 2009 Author Posted February 10, 2009 I've followed Jaysus mini tutorial on how to replace old parts with new ones, I have made the same parts on my own gun as the 10 mm pistol has but when i try to replace let's say the clip it dosen't place where i want it, it's like floatinging above the old mesh. That's kinda what the problem is. I don't even know if it can use the same animation that way.
Zynoq Posted February 12, 2009 Author Posted February 12, 2009 Is there a tutorial or something on how to add custom guns in to the game?
neunen Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 i found this one to be quite helpfulhttp://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php/Creating_A_Custom_Weapon
SpeedyB64 Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Sounds like you just need to select the clip's NiTriStrips block and change the translation values to get it in the right spot. Should be simple enough
Zynoq Posted February 12, 2009 Author Posted February 12, 2009 Are there any special values i should type in or is it the same for every mesh?
