SKSE Issue not logging into game

I have disabled steam updates as i was directed, i have verified all files, run Boss, Tessedit, I have done everything, i have the latest skse, , i am not receiving steam updates, yet i cannot start the game through skse launcher, when i start it through the original launcher, it says skse error. It is all installed correctly, so what can i do please, too many of my mods rely on SKSE

As long as you put SKSE into the main directory (which can be found by right clicking on the desktop startup shortcut, data, skyrim, skyrim launcher. this is the correct directory)

 

copied over the two dlls (skse_steam_loader and skse 1_9_32)) and the exe ((SKSE_loader))

 

then copied over the data folder ((Just drag it into the main directory, and when the option comes up to merge the data folder from the winrar file with the one already in the skyrim directory))

 

Then there's really no reason it shouldn't work. Think back to the last time you had it working ((If you did have it working)) and try and determine what happened between the point where you had it working, and when it stopped working.

BOSS, and TES5edit, probably not going to help you fix the problem, those are for mods, and to my knowledge ((May be wrong, but never heard of it happening personally)) A mod wouldn't break SKSE in this manner.

ok, i have slowly installed SKSE according to the video by Gopher, i have made sure i dont get updates from steam anymore. i even took off skyrim and downloaded it again, yes i have a legal copy. I have verified all files are working. I even took off all mods, and still when i click on the icon, I get a small black window, then nothing. I really need help on this. I can play skyrim using the TESV launcher. Why doesnt Opting out of the steam beta client fixed the problem for me?

1.) You're not actually giving any detail as to what the error is. Are you getting the common error of "SKSE or Skyrim Not up to date"

2.) 99% of the time people say it's installed correctly, it's not.

3.) You literally just need to drag everything from the SKSE archive into the main Skyrim folder (NOT the data folder), make sure you MERGE folders (not overwrite) and then launch from the SKSE_launcher.

4.) A very common problem is also people drag the launcher onto the desktop or copy and paste it onto the desktop, rather than making it a shortcut. Make sure you're trying to launch from a SHOTCUT if you're launching from the desktop.

i have the exact same problem oO

just a little black box opens on the top left corner of my screen and then nothing happens!

 

i recently uninstalled skyrim for a fresh install and i did so many times in the past.

every time i installed skse, also this time.

 

weirdly it wont start the game as described by robson.

i am sure i installed skse correctly as wrye bash tells me the excant version number and lets me tick it on.

however ingame skui notifies me that skse is not installed and the console command "getSKSEVersion" showed no results (which means skse is not installed).

I found my problem, it was uncapped, once I uninstalled it, the game works great, so why? And what mod can I use now to go past level 81?

Well, with the newest Skyrim patch, you can use the legendary feature, which is basically uncapped leveling, but you need to reset one of your perk strings.
