VampiricDolphin
I cannot get absolutely any sound to come out of skyrim. I have tried re-installing directx, changing audio bit rate, updating drivers, fiddling with the .ini files and nothing seems to be working at all. I've tested everything out on a new game so it could not possibly be a save file problem. The error is likely due to something that went wrong when I transferred from my old windows 7 laptop to the new windows 8 desktop, but I do not even know where to begin to start with figuring that out. I wanted to try to avoid re-installing if at all possible because my current internet connection is extremely slow so a massive steam download would be agonizingly time consuming. If it helps, my audio device is just called Speakers (2- HD Audio Device), so it's not the realtek incompatibility issue. No idea what company mine is or what it means, that's just what the dxdiag tool says it is. Thanks for any assistance, I appreciate it!
