BiagioL
I got the Sappho's daughters mods because I love lesbians. And I found when trying to create a city elf the game crashed. So I decided to do the Mage playthrough everything was going fine got to see some cool flashbacks then when i beat the rage demon whoops it crashed. I have no idea why it crashed. I was interested in seeing what new content it might contain.
theskymoves
Are you just ranting, or do you want help with the issue? (I genuinely can't tell.) If you are looking for help, please provide a complete list of all mods you've installed, and information on how you installed the mods. What kind of 'crash' is it... CTD, bluescreen, game locking up...? Knowing what version of the game (base game only, Ultimate Edition) and the source of the installer (Origins/Steam/GOG/physical media) may also be helpful, as would whether you've patched the game's executable with the 4GB or LAA patch. Mage folder crashes to desktop immediately after the harrowing. I took the city elf folder out and left others played through the city elf but the moment duncan took me to ostagar the game crashed again and there's an ostagar folder. presumably any place the sappho's daughters origins folder edits crashes here's my list of mods as i see them in the override folder and mod manager the ones with numbers like Sera 20 are optional files for Sappho's daughters. theskymoves
Please provide either the actual names of the mods or links to the mod pages. Or, you can troubleshoot it on your own: remove all mods from the override folder. Start a new game and see if the crashing still occurs. If it does not, add the override mods back either one at a time or in very small (no more than 3-5) batches, until the crashing happens again. If the crashing still happens after removing the overrides, then do the same with the DAzip mods, i.e. remove them, test to make sure the game is running correctly, and add them back gradually until you've narrowed it down to one mod. If you are certain that it is caused by the Sappho's Daughter mod, install just that and see if the game crashes. If not, it may be a combination of that and another mod, and you'll have to use trial and error to figure out which one.
BiagioL
Decided to empty the folder of everything except the sappho's daughters. Didn't run the game through the mod manager [so i'm assuming the only mods activated were ones directly in my override folder] tried to start a new city elf and the game crashed. It's definitely sappho's mods. The Lothering sappho addon crashed when i finally got got on the road to lothering. Please provide either the actual names of the mods or links to the mod pages. maaaaaaaaap
I' m not 100% on this, but I think perhaps Sappho's was made before Awakening was released (either DA:O version 1.02 or 1.03), and that changes in either patch 1.04 or 1.05 can cause it to crash. I've only played with that mod installed before I got Awakening (1.03) and with the old CDs/DVDs installation (I cannot remember which medium the old disks were, getting old myself.... ;-)). Today's UE AFAIK comes with 1.05 and as long you are using Awakening you cannot "roll back" to 1.03 anyway, IIRC.
BiagioL
I do like the premise though of more content especially lesbian content. So far i'm just removing folders that cause crashes experimentally. Like Denerim addon will not let me go into the lothering chantry. neither will the behind stained glass one. so i remove them and keep going. theskymoves
From personal experience, I will offer the anecdotal caveat that removing quest mods from an on-going save can result in save corruption and an unplayable game. Beyond that, and since you have determined that lesbian pixel sex is more important than a stable, working install, I've nothing more to offer by way of advice or information. Some mods are simple overrides and can usually be removed by simply removing the files from their folders. Other mods - typically installed with a dazip - create entries in the addins.xml file that the game will look for and process on start-up. If the game is looking for content (because it's listed as active and installed in the addins.xml file) that it doesn't find (because you've removed the folder), you're probably going to get crap results, including crashes. There are a couple of ways to deal with them:1) Edit the addins.xml file to remove those entries, or follow whatever other instructions the author provides to uninstall.2) Deactivate them with the interface provided (Main Menu --> Downloadable Content --> Installed Content tab) by unchecking them on the list. Also, what tsm said.
Thandal
Adding my two centimes: Years ago I installed this mod and played (some of) it successfully under Win10/64bit, DA-Ultimate Edition, (so with all patches) 16GB RAM, and the 4GB Memory Hak. a. Couldn't stand it. The "plot" (well, "encapsulated encounters") were both foolish and tedious, the dialogue was insipid, and the voices... borderline intolerable. b. Had no issues with the game crashing while it was installed, but I certainly didn't explore everywhere. Uninstalled it pretty quickly. Note: I do NOT make a habit of providing negative reviews of mods based on my personal preferences, but this one disappointed on all levels.
