Pau1K311y
I have just tried to play Skyrim and it crashed. I am playing it heavily modded and of course use SKSE and SBW, it has been running fine until now. I first clicked on SBW and after a Steam update and the community uncapper ran it froze. I can load the game with basic Skyrim launcher but it stops working when trying to run with SKSE. I am not very well versed with error logs but I have checked the papyrus logs and it doesn't display anything out of the ordinary - it simply freezes as it loading the files. I have replaced skse file in case they were somehow corrupt but to no avail. I must admit that I don't know how to check any windows error logs if that would help to see what is going on.I am unsure but suspect it might have something to do with the steam update as I haven't changed a thing since I played a couple of hours ago. Can anyone please tell me what's wrong and how it can be fixed? Just to update I have just found the windows error log and it reads like this: Faulting application name: TESV.exe, version: 1.9.32.0, time stamp: 0x51437ce5Faulting module name: steamclient.dll, version: 1.80.24.41, time stamp: 0x51c0e0c0Exception code: 0xc0000005Fault offset: 0x000c7880Faulting process id: 0x1064Faulting application start time: 0x01ce6d2fcd8c72cdFaulting application path: G:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\TESV.exeFaulting module path: D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamclient.dllReport Id: 0c59042f-d923-11e2-a75d-6c626d3ed3b8 So looks like a steam problem. What do I do? Edited June 19, 2013 by Pau1K311y
DemongelRex
Same here, I thought I was my new anti virus I installed, but I just uninstall it and restored the back up I made right before I installed it. No dice. I'm trying to downgrade the client now. I seriously hate steams DRM so much!
markus242005
From another thread, someone said Uncapper was the problem, uninstall and retry.
Pau1K311y
OK thanks I'll give it a try. I really wish you could bypass steam, its a real pain... I have updated steam again today and it has reloaded the update again. It now appears to be working. Strange as it wouldn't last night, but a relief nontheless. DemongelRex
I can confirm reinstalling steam or downgrading it worked.
