chazzranger
Making a Breezehome mod (cuz there's just not enough of them, I know), and in the CK I've removed all the enabling parents from everything in the house. Gone are all the cobwebs, crates and dusty furniture Breezehome "starts" with before upgrading, and I have no "upgrade" furniture or items - I even removed the enabling parents from vanilla stuff I left in the mod. What this means is when Breezehome is purchased from Proventus for 5 G's, the whole place is purchased fully (and stylishly) furnished as-is, no upgrading required. I have not, however, altered any scripting. Proventus/Breezehome dialogue options remain unchanged, 100% because I dunno how to script. Papyrus is like a big, freaky mystery to me. There. I said it. Anyway, I always thought paying for individual upgrades was ridiculous... has anybody ever NOT completely upgraded vanilla Breezehome? it's not like you get a CHOICE of upgrades, you're not CUSTOMIZING your home. For each area, you either 1) upgrade to get stuff in your house, or 2) leave a big, ugly empty spot in your house. Not much of a choice. /Rant So. My question is, now that I've unlinked all the enabling parents, does anybody think there could be a problem with the pre-upgrade/post-upgrade scripts during gameplay? Will the game search for the references I've removed and bonk when it can't find them? (Sure, if I decided to be a dunce and pay Proventus for a non-existant upgrade, I might break the game, but...) One day I'll learn scripting and tie up these kinds of loose ends, but for now, I just want my Breezehome to not break games. Thoughts?
