FGRaptor
Well, I guess I'm not the only one to find the intercom in the super duper mart that just gives static when activated. There are also others (looking the same) in other places which I can't name now (don't remember exactly) and as I saw it today I really asked myself what they are good for. I can't find anything corresponding to it anywhere. So, did anyone have any experiences with these intercoms? Is there any use to them? Can you call E.T.s family with them? satansdik
not sure what they're for, but in my rather limited explorations thus far, i've found 5 or so. HAM radios, intercoms, etc.
Michlo
I always switch them on just in case it allows us to pick up a signal but so far, nope.
FGRaptor
That's really strange, maybe some kind of feature that Bethesda forgot to implement? It's a bit strange.
Sarpedon
There are 2 occasions where they are used in the main quest. I expect that the other ones are there so that the main quest ones aren't the only ones in the game. The raiders also use the intercom in the super duper mart, and I was a little disappointed that I couldn't use it to taunt them or anything. Dasistgutja
I'm not sure if turning on all the HAM radios has any effect, but they do pick up the signal of the nearest 'enabled' radio tower (the random pylons all over the place, with signals such as "Oscar Bravo Zulu" etc).So far I've only found one that was actually in the (very small) range of a tower. xm20k
Any radio tower you activate has a radio close by. Search around the immediate area and you'll find access to it within the signals range. You are looking for a sewer pipe or manhole cover. They usually just contain some meds, ammo, and a few random custom weapon parts.
