VATS Burst Length

Does anyone know how to alter the length of VATS bursts?!

 

I am using WAR1982's awesome BOZAR mod, and I absolutely love it. I wanted it to behave a little differently, so I adjusted the settings in the GECK to this. My goal was to get the gun to vomit 10 rounds downrange in about half a second. These settings accomplish that perfectly.

 

The problem I am having now is that when I que the weapon to fire in VATS just one time, it fires 10 rounds, reloads, fires 10 more rounds, reloads again, and fires 5 more rounds. It seems like there is a setting somewhere that tells this weapon to fire 25 round bursts. I have tried changing all sorts of settings to alter this VATS Burst behavior without success.

 

Another weapon from WAR1982 is the Pancor Jackhammer. This weapon is also an automatic, but in VATS, one click of the mouse fires only one shell. I have tried to examine the weapon settings for this weapon to find the value that controls these VATS bursts, but still had no luck.

I think the Fire Rate is high that the ammo clip is small. Set the clip to 300 or whatever to see continuous long bursts.

i found out by raising rate of fire you increase the burst, i apply the principle in my mod.

 

my mod now lets assault rifle shoots 5-6 shots rather than 3 shots in vanilla fallout3

Great, thanks for the info! I will adjust the fire rate to try to get a 10 round burst. I may have to sacrifice a little RoF, but it will be worth it to prevent the double reload in VATS.

Success! I reduced the fire rate to 30, and my Bozar now bursts 10 rounds in VATS, reloads, and exits VATS. Perfect. Additionally, the weapon does not seem to have sacrificed any noticable ROF outside of VATS.
