Modmakers

I've been trying for some days to set up an oblivion gaming session.

I'm an mmo guy and single player isn't what I usually fancy when it comes to fantasy. The world is just too empty and the quests somewhat pointless if you can't delve into it, pretending.

So what I'm looking for when I go singleplayer is usually heavy strategy games or cheating in singleplayer, not as much cheating tbh as it's various examinations of the statsystems.

I usually never go as far as to actually play the games since I got a very good idea what I will encounter.

Oblivion carry all kinds of potentialitys but the greatest drawback to it is I cannot go explore duo or trio, perhaps a quad ? I wanna play with my bros exploring and pretending a little.

A duo mod would absolutely rule for this game as it packs a great punch in all other areas, it would be a 100% upgrade imo.

Greater numbers is always good, but it's actually not necessary as with the more players the harder to keep form as a group when investigating the world and keep interest in the small bauble you create.

Best would ofc be something like a server being able to be put up and players could join freely and leave freely.

Ofcourse there are many that agree that multiplayer in Oblivion would crack some skulls and there have been attempts but the code isn't made for this originally and therefore it's resisting implementation. Latest was 2007 of what I googled.

Perhaps it would be more realistic to create a functional duo or trio mod ? I don't know the challenges with this and I don't plan on learning the modmaking trade for oblivion.

Just suggesting =)

Although multiplayer is a grand distant dream that needs realization it was not what I intended to post a suggestion about.

What I'm looking for in oblivion atm is the ability to build a great potential in a character and get a free customization on his abilitys.

Like I've downloaded some small mods, atronach, regen. Also greater mods such as midas and other game enhancers.

My trouble is that with this various alterations I can do I have to really work it to get what I want.

What if I feel after creating this character that I actually don't want to regenerate and absorb magic but I want to fly and have supreme fire magic and perhaps a permanent flame aura ? Maybe I want to be the thickest tank with no ranged abilitys or healings, magics but hardcore damage resistant ?

Or maybe I want to be the greatest of thieves, fast and agile with special moves and etc.

The list of wants is enormous ofc.

So I'm suggesting something like a character creator with the ability to change all the stats, hidden as well, like regeneration.

Something which makes me able to set spell costs, set abilitys and functions.

So I can mix and match my own superpwner if I want or create a new race/class/birthsign specifically designed towards what I want to adventure in and what powers I would like to start with and what abilitys I will pick up on lvl tresholds for example.

If I could add triggers to my character ..?

Thing is everyone got their own hero they wanna realize and it would be awesome if it was possible to cater to this.

Should be some kinda point system in it, like in daggerfall =) Not prohibiting, just informative so you can balance weakness with power like you feel is appropriate.

Thanks for reading this.

I realize it's great work making a mod and I really appreciate your effort guys.

Surely many thought about this.. Just thought I post the idea anyway.
