ethanhonglongnguyen
What's the mod limit for NMM if you have all the DLCs installed including Bethesda's HD texture pack DLC?
Werne
There is no such thing as "NMM mod limit" but there is a limit of plugins the game can load, which is 256 plugins total (that would be mods + DLCs + Skyrim.esm). With DLCs and main ESM it's 248 plugins (256 -1 for Skyrim.esm, -1 for Update.esm -3 for HD DLC ESMs, -1 for Dragonborn.esm, -1 for Hearthfire.esm, -1 for Dawnguard.esm). Means you can load up to 248 plugins max along with DLCs. When it comes to texture mods, no limit, but when it comes to actual mods with plugins, it's as I said above. Mind that I keep saying plugins, not mods.
Nudedragon
The plugin limit is 255. It has nothing to do with ESM files, thus, nothing to do with the official DLC except the high res official release. Stability becomes a serious issue well before that though, just a heads up. ethanhonglongnguyen
Is 247 mods a good limit? Also when I have "255" mods in NMM and I try to change the order to load it, it says I cant have mroe than 255 mods
Nudedragon
good is defined by the capabilities of your system. It's not good for skyrims engine, but if 150 of those are just little tweaks, then it's fine. I run more than 255 by merging esps, and I have been working with increasing success at stabilizing my system. If you just want to be able to play without fiddling with your mods, I'd stay under 200, and probably under 150.
