CTD after loading

Hi all, I recently started my Skyrim back up, meaning I had to update a bunch of my mods. After some painful work with SKSE and SkyUI I think I finally got SKSE sorted out. I have quite a few mods, here they are in their load order:

I am getting a CTD on all my previous saves, and when I attempt to start a new game. The new game crashes directly after loading finishes, before the intro movie pops up. No error messages or anything. Any help would be appreciated!

Replace your load order with a BOSS log (with the messages), include the list of plugins not recognized by BOSS, enclose them in spoiler tags so they won't clutter the screen.

Would you mind explaining to me how to do this? I'm sorry, I just got my wisdom teeth out and I am on some fairly strong painkillers. :blink:

Search for BOSS on the Nexus, you will find the mod page. Download BOSS directly from there or the mirror link. Install BOSS, run it, then copy/paste the log containing your load order as well as relevant message about the mods, into a spoiler tag (top left, SpecialBBCode, select 'spoiler'). Do the same if BOSS generates a log containing a list of plugins it does not recognize.

Sorry about the late response. I had forgotten I had posted here, and had all but given up on Skyrim.

1) Since you mentioned you have been away from Skyrim for a while, the first thing is just to check the mod pages of the mods you have downloaded, and make sure you are using the latest versions of all mods. If a mod has not been updated for a year or more, check the comments sections to see if users are reporting issues with the mod as a result and requesting updates for compatibility with latest official patch. If they are, then you should uninstall the mod.

 

2) Cleaning: download TES5Edit form the link in the BOSS log, follow the instructions on the page and clean the plugins flagged by BOSS as containing 'dirty edits.' You'll need to remove identical to master entries as well as undelete/disable deleted references.

 

3) Maintenance: go through the entire BOSS log and look for any error messages, such as this

There should be an updated 'fix patch' for Jaysus Sword (normally the link appears in the BOSS log, I don't know why it doesn't for you). Go through the BOSS log carefully and attend to all the error messages.

 

4) Redundant mods:

you are already using 'Immersive Armor', which includes these armour mods. So they should be uninstalled.

 

5) Since you are using a number of 'give more stuff to NPCs' (like 'Immersive Armor', 'Jaysus Swords' NPC distribution, 'Immersive Weapons', 'Weapons of 3rd Era', etc.) that edits the default game leveled lists, you should use Wrye Bash to automatically generate a Bashed Patch that will merge conflicting leveled lists edits so the gears will appear correctly on affected NPCs. While you are at it, remove this one:

 

WeaponsOf3E - No Leveled Lists.esp Active

 

Unless you intentionally do not want those weapons to appear on NPCs.

 

5) Uninstall (not just disable) the mods not recognized by BOSS.

 

6) Download and install the unofficial patch for the hi-res texture DLC.
