Suilebhain
Is there a way to extract stored cloned characters through the CS? The other night I decided to play around with cloning. Because I am currently playing a demon, it made perfect RP sense for me to replicate companions, so I used showracemenu to make all of the changes, including the name (though I could have used the console to do that afterward). Then I made all of my edits and created a full actor copy. Then I opened showracemenu again and changed myself back. Well, now I have these three extremely nice looking demon females running around with me that I was considering making into CM Companions and sharing (the only problem with cloned characters is that their script is extremely limited, but at least they call you SIR  Miilord would have been better, though. ) So, if anyone knows how to do it and can give a few pointers I would be more than happy to share, once I figure out how to make a companion mod. It is so much harder here than in Morrowind.
fallnfrmthelight
I'm fairly certain the CS can't modify things that are unique to a save, only things that are stored in an esp/esm..
Suilebhain
I suspected this was so. I was just hoping someone figured out a way to do it. After all, they (the clones) do get IDs and I figured they had to be stored somewhere as a collection of settings and inventories.
Sangel2525
You can create a character in game, then save your game as that character. Next you import their face from the saved game into an esp via Wrye Bash. You just need to make sure the esp supports your custom race and such. I actually did this with a Wood Elf CM Companion a while back. I don't use CM anymore though... Too twitchy, like my companions showing up out of nowhere when I told them to wait. Instead I use Toasters Companion Share and Recruit. I never tried this with a custom race, but it could be doable if you make the custom race an esm with Wyre Bash.
