necross413
First question: did you try all of the above-mentioned solutions, to no avail? if yes Second question: do you run Skyrim through SKSE? if yes suggestion: re-install SKSE from the website. Steam version is what caused this for me. link: http://skse.silverlock.org/ if this still didn't work suggestion2: go into your Skyrim directory (steamlibrary>steamapps>common>skyrim), RIGHT CLICK on "skse_loader.exe" (don't sweat it if you don't see the ".exe"), click properties, navigate to the "compatibility" tab, and select the option that says: "Run this program as an administrator". Now run SKSE and see if that worked. if you're still stuck, sorry, that's really all I got...this worked for me
Ectoplasmick
Old topic, I know, but this has been happening to me for weeks, and Bethesda Support is of no freaking use. So, I've tried so far some of the solutions you provided, the only one working being the console command (which really bothers me, since I want the game to work as well a it did). Even deleting all my mods and all my old save files did nothing. I'm still stuck and can't play :'( Any hint about what I should try (again) first ? JeggyKan
Hey guys, I recently ran into this same problem. Turns out I accidently installed an older version of the Fallout 4 Script Extender (F4SE) into my Skyrim nexus mods. Uninstalled it and works like a charm! Hope this helps.
