Eil17
Hi everyone,I got a question and i really hope that you guys can help me. Right now i've started to play Skyrim on my new Gaming PC and i was suprised about the FPS i get, without mods i get 60FPS+....but with mods i get not the best performance at all. Of course this is nothing new to me, i know that some mods are real FPS killers, but i didn't expect that it would go down so much. Anyway, this is my system/pc:These are the mods that i am using, i was expecting that it should be able to handle it with 60FPS, dosn't matter where i am.Right now i'm getting around 35-40FPS in the nature/enviroment, in cities like Whiterun i get around 30-38FPS and in Houses/Inn locations around 59FPS.My Load List:http://gyazo.com/369fd83b510d686db836b69685440299My Mods:1. http://gyazo.com/0cff1aae22bbac2b399e8349076a2f512. http://gyazo.com/b4c42ff3421ffab4addc21a2826a79e13. http://gyazo.com/b3c05b21de5d07ad3f4221ae7b6bb2dfI'm also using the ENB serie RealVision(http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/30936/?tab=4&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fcomments%2F%3Fmod_id%3D30936%26page%3D1%26sort%3DDESC%26pid%3D0%26thread_id%3D905060&pUp=1). Unfortunely i also needed to downgrade my Nvidia Driver from 320.18 to 314.22 to be able to use the ENB correctly.http://gyazo.com/11b70b7da1b3492d835769e5c07ff266 I'm also running Skyrim in Windowed mode with the Borderless mod. I don't know what could be wrong, is it the ENB+old driver that slows down my performance? What can i do and what can you guys recommend? I really hope you can help me, already thanks if you took your time reading my post! :-) P.s, sorry for my english, it's not my native language. //EiL17 Edited June 23, 2013 by Eil17
Strepenbroek
Yo, why your ram is running at 668 Mhz, Skyrim can use Max 4gb Ram because its a 32bit app, iam not an expert but maybe it had to do with this and skyrim is running on a crappy engine thad needs special attention even on high end pc. I think its logical 4gb Ram 668Mhz is lower performance after 4gb 1333Mhz standard, and with the game pc you bought you should atleast have ram capable of 1600Mhz RAM not 668Mhz, if you bought verry good gaming RAM its capable of 2000Mhz. I should fix this first for the sake of your game pc, but carefull when tweaking it yourself, if you dont know what your doing you can destroy your RAM, so first get more information about your pc before you go overclocking. (Iam using 16GB flat 1600Mhz RAM, when I got the PC the first time, the RAM was set to 1333 standard, and I had to tweak it manual myself after)
Goatroach
Yeah, it must be his slow-a** RAM. I have 12GBs DDR3 SATA RAM @1,600MHz, Intel i7-3770 (non-K) @3.4GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0 up to 3.9GHz, and a 1,024MB Nvidia GeForce 620 overclocked.I have about 230 items in my load order, and I'm pulling at 720p 30fps outdoors, 60fps indoors. Try going to your Nvidia Control Panel (for me, right click on the desktop and just select it) and turn off ambient occlusion. AO looks bad and cuts your frame rate by about half. If you can, get your money back or try to offer a trade-in for your slow RAM, and get RAM with a speed of at least 1,600MHz.

You wont run 60 FPS outside with RealVision either. The author runs on an heavy overclocked gtx680 and pulls 45FPS outside using realvision. I can confirm this is normal as I use an evenly heavy ENB myself (not realvision tho) and I also get between 40-50 FPS outside on a GTX680 overclocked. So to confirm with yourself if it's ENB - rename the d3d9.dll in yoru skyrim folder to disable it and launch the game to check yoru FPS.
