Posted here.any other odd , custom graphic's tampering type mods like (ENB) posted here, "series version "you say you can operate steams over lay? turn off the steam "use as NON steam game feature so the darn thing will update correctly"If not, set to not update.go to the roaming / c:\users\(username)\apps\roaming\Java\ and delete those apps there ONLY, do the same in local too.delete all temp files stored in the tamp folders located here:C:\users\(username)\tempC:\windows\temp\ *.*set user UAC to 1/4 so you can see what application is accessing what. do not turn it off, you need to know whats going on, I can't read Tea leaves.Regardless of steam applied applications, you still need to install and run the GFWL disabler, and you still need to install Fomm so you can insert It's fake live dll into the game to run it.------------------------------------------------------------On top of all of this, then we get started in finding out why your PC is causing you problems with this old game.If the above is too much? good luck. IF not?, I will help you.http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1019700-persistent-ctd-difficulty-troubleshooting-please-help/page-2&do=findComment&comment=8311658Kitty. SEVENTEENPOINT1
I seem to have an issue similar to this. I have a Windows 7 PC with 4GB RAM, nVidia graphics card, and a intel i5 processor. I did use the 4GB enabler, dll file, and multicore manipulation with the txt file. The game crashes within 30 seconds of loading a save game or starting a new game. But strangely enough my Windows 8 HP Pavilion with 6GB RAM and a AMD APU runs the game with only the need of the change of the bUseThreadedAI line. I do not understand why this is the case. Just to see, you might try unchecking ever mod, every DLC you have. Just use the vanilla fallout esm. If it works, you can try process of elimination. If it just hanging you at a certain quest point, you could get past it and then recheck everything. It's been my general experience that crashes are associated with mods while freezes are quest issues. If they're quest issues, see if the console interface (tilde) is available to manipulate it. Lotta folks use crash and freeze interchangably, which makes troubleshooting more difficult, sometimes even counterproductive. Purr4me
Freezing is largely due too graphics, as in Direct-x problems. Gfwl works only in windows 32bit. windows 7 64 bit, it runs in (86) Environment, not a true 32bit, so it's a window for mated for that program. 64bit animals need to have DWM.exe enhanced with a 4gig thresh hold or the game will just lock up. no room left. There is no work around for this but to program the game and the OS together for use of these games. The basis for this is direct from Microsoft as follows. (( http://hothardware.com/News/Microsoft-Rolls-Out-DirectX-112-But-Its-A-Windows-81-Exclusive/ ))that is where things are headed. this game uses data, so very old now, and the updates MS is providing is taking out every ones systems, xp and vista breads are being killed off VIA windows up date. your mods, whom ever made them ...made them on a system that encodes the data to this tormentor. Graphics, jpg's, bmp's, dds, files for the game run Entirely in a 32bit environment. codecs are used to decode crafted Nvidia made data to work in both Environments. The Plugins for witting the codes out in the pictures for the laments in terms you can relate to if you can. The game will load textures encoded and Codee that are made out of sync with direct -x 9 version software because they are not made in it. taking app art some of these texture files it was found to be this. Older mods made before all this upgrading takes place run very good. It is just one big mess. so far, steam is the only company attempting to cross compile this data on the fly in a live environment, though it is done over the networks as active-x controls do, Flash for one is the tools being used in it's overlay, changes some of the data identified as what I laid out here. the other is Equipment and OS data running and some data not compatible. Along these lines of questions, it has been posted numerous times here on the Nexus forums to this effect. your machines data may not be the same as your friends machines data, thought the parts are similar, the programming may differ. on 2 machines identical can be also programed differently too. one runs, the other may not. bottom line is, GFWL needs to be updated, and then LOL disabled so the live dll does not exaggerate the bugs built-in to the game. The steam version uses difernt software and is still legacy gaming software, legacy is x (86) not x (64) Drivers for the 2 systems do not match, so the players don't match. it's a hit and miss detection between each system that the user must figure out. To all of these things, I remind you al, these games were never meant as a PC only games, the structures are ported, converted from x-box and Sony data to function on a PC. the link above shows you where the minds and the money was put. to answer the question of fallout 4? you have your answer what machine will be used. and the plans set in motion as of right now. Direct-x 11.2 and the games made to run it ,will not be supported on windows XP, VISTA, WINDOWS 7, and 8. but only on 8.1 and above and as it say's "Xbox One". Thanks a heap MS for at least warning the world of your plans. now, GDL for Linux conversions looks a whole lot better deal. Kitty.
