I made my first mod that I want to upload (My first mod is just my own cooldown times for the shouts, but I've never uploaded it since there are enough of those already.). My mod makes it to where the Thalmor will only use elven weapons no matter the level (I hope). The reason I made this mod is that it always bothered me that they would always brag about their superiority over man but would use their weapons for a few levels. So I made two versions of this mod. The first one is for the vanilla/base game, the other is for those that have immersive weapons. I could test both mods myself but I figured that it would be better to see if I could get some people to test them as well, since I may not have the time to test both mods (I could but it would take awhile.) So if anyone wants to test either version let me know. Also I know this may sound dumb but since this is my first mod here. If someone does want to test my mod how do I send it to them? ripple Posted June 26, 2013 Share Posted June 26, 2013 (edited) There shouldn't be any issues as it is a straight-forward operation. I've done this myself for personal use, basically just editing the weapons leveled lists used by Thalmor NPCs so they will only spawn with elven or glass weapons (in fact, I believe 'Immersive Weapons' already edits to those same leveled lists to add only elven and glass IW weapons). You can pretty much just check the plugin you made in TES5Edit to confirm the edits and make sure the plugin is clean. Obviously existing Thalmor NPCs won't automatically reset their inventory without a cell refresh, but newly (re)spawned ones will. Force70 Posted June 26, 2013 Author Share Posted June 26, 2013 (edited) Thanks. Immersive Weapons still left the steal weapons in the level list for the Thalmor. So I just removed all the weapons that were not Elven. Then I just lowered the level for the Elven weapons in the Thalmor level list. How will I know if the plugin is clean with TES5Edit? Also I can't remember if glass is Elven or not. I was thinking of removing them from the Thalmor level list but since I don't know if glass is elven or not, I don't know if that will mess with the lore. ripple Posted June 27, 2013 Share Posted June 27, 2013 (edited) I don't know if elves using glass weapons is lore or not, but I kept it because elven weapons are pretty weak in comparison to the higher material weapons. Skyrims whole 'material by race' thing is utterly strange and out of balance anyway, so....I did make another personal mod that replaced glass armour with elven armour for outfit records used by high level Thalmor NPCs, though. Cleaning: Assuming you didn't delete anything, you can see just by looking whether you have any duplicate to master records? And I don't think I deleted anything. All I'm going to do is remove the steal and glass weapons and armor from the level list for the Thalmor.
