psycho2112
Alright, I'm taking another crack at this. I, can't really get ENB to work, but I think I could. Here's the issue. ENB for me only works so far if the fallout NV menu appears before I start the game. The vanilla game menu. This happens whenever I start up NV from turning on my computer. Problem is, that doesn't work with 4gb enabler with NVSE. So I usually close the game menu/launcher, then hit the application for 4GB NVSE. This starts up NV without a game menu before the game. This is how I normally play, but I'm pretty sure ENB can't work like that. I attached it to NMM, but it still doesn't really work. Many times when I tried ENB, it said it didn't support hardware anti-aliasing. I've tried disabling EVERYTHING anti-aliasing related, and I'd still get that message. For the ENB I've been using, it's Millenia's ENB. Are there different ENB's that don't give this much trouble?
psycho2112
Come on, does anyone have experience with ENB problems?
luthienanarion
Use the injector version instead of the wrapper version. Add fnv4gb.exe to the list of processes in the enbinjector.ini file. If you have a control panel of some sort for your video driver, disable AA there.
psycho2112
Again luthien, you help me out. Thanks!
luthienanarion
It's what I do.
psycho2112
Well, It worked! .... And I don't know if I like it. Without Anti-Aliasing, a lot of things look rather odd, and Weapon Transparency is EVERYWHERE, especially for Millenia's weapons. His ENB is good, but could be better. Next Gen ENB is also decent, but a little too... "chalky"? Plus, neither of them work with Project Nevada's nightvision, so the night time is bad time for me. Any thing you prefer? luthienanarion
Update your ENB binary. Fallout3/New Vegas 0.190 is supposed to fix the transparent weapons in first-person view when SSAO is enabled. I personally use Realistic Mojave ENB's Fellout version. I install the variant with no DoF, because I hate dynamic depth-of-field effects. I've never used nightvision in these games, so I'm not sure if it works with this ENB.
psycho2112
Doesn't realistic ENB require project reality? I don't want project reality. I'm updating to .190 now. How do I smoothen things without anti-aliasing?
luthienanarion
Nah. There's a version for PR, Nevada Skies, Fellout, and vanilla. If updating doesn't fix it, try this fix. Be sure and follow the installation instructions, as you have to may have to edit your shader packages depending on your hardware. For AA, you can try Standalone SMAA, which works for New Vegas also. ma1025
I still use ENB .116 for this reason. My computer can't handle all the new effects and separate anti-aliasing so being able to have descent performance and quality was the deciding factor in staying behind.
