random characters crash my game when looked at

the characters that cause it always change after a while of playing or starting new games, but the problem is constant.

for the current game breaking case it's Farkas. I'm inside Dustman's Cairn, Farkas is right behind me, it takes about a second for him to run into my view upon where the game CTD (also, when i load the game before dustman's Cairn and before when the problem started, seeing Farkas still causes CTD). I have no mods affecting the Companions at all that i know of so (exept for Ria, who herself is not causing any problems) i don't know why this is. (Farkas looks fine, he's rendered fine, but after a split second of him entering view, CTD)

 

an older problem i had recently that simply stopped happening that so far has yet to return was talking to certain NPCs caused the game to freeze, about 5 seconds into their dialogue. first case with this one was with Amren. In fact, most game breaking problems have involved the land Whiterun.

 

~Edit~ Here is my mod list taken fro BOSS (the CoT patches for SoS are disabled, along with all the tave mods)

another thing i'd like to note is i have the latest version of SKSE but the mods that need it like SkyUI can't find it, so those mods are off.
