While playing Oblivion, I thought up this idea.

 

Fallout 3 is all about the guns and the heavy firepower. Melee combat is brushed aside for only the dedicated to use as a main source of combat. However, even if you are dedicated to melee combat; you still have to put up with snipers and Supermutants with Miniguns which can make melee combat very difficult.

 

So, I thought why not turn the Wasteland from a gun fest, into a melee fest.

 

Swords, Daggers, Axes the lot. Out with the guns and in with the steel. Replace Pistols with rusted swords, replace Rifles with finely crafted Samurai swords. Tear up the Leather armor and introduce samurai battle armor.

This calls for a complete overhaul. Not just new melee weapons. It calls for all NPCs to use melee weapons, a more detailed melee VATs (Decapataion by sword anyone?) Re-tex, new models the lot.

 

This would be an exstensive project, but I belive will be one to be rememberd.

 

Please modders, consider this challange. If not you then mabey a fellow modder that would happily do this.
