Hi, newbie here. Looking for some help/advice.

I've just recently started using the DA Toolset and learning how to use it. But I've gotten an urge after seeing Hsli's Sexy Outfits to make custom armor like that. However I don't have Dragon Age 2 on PC so I don't have access to all the models I would need. Is there any way that I can take from the models that Hsli has made in order to play around and make my own stuff?

Hm, I'm not at my private pc at the moment so I can't have a look but when you have installed Hsli's stuff, I thought you can find the files in the Hsli folder in your override. To modify the mesh you will need a 3d modelling program and you can use the toolset or the gff4 editor to edit the mmh file. I prefer the editor. You can use the editor e.g. to extract erf. files to get the files you need.

When you want to release your modification in a mod you need of course the permission of Hsli but not for your personal use but I think you know that.

Hope that helps a bit.

I just got Blender 2.94b, Python 2.6, Dragon Age Tools, and some scripts that came with it but I'm not really sure where to go from here haha. In Hsli's folder there's an erf file in the core folder and in the module>data folder. I'm guessing I need to open up the one in the core folder since it has the cti files. Are these the meshes that'll open in blender? And yeah, it's purely for personal use.

I've looked in my override folder. There is e.g. a Hsli Sexy robes folder with the mesh, mmh and the texture files. I can't import the meshes into blender 2.49 because of a length error. So, you have maybe to use the other import/ export script 0.20 because 0.11 doesn't support body meshes or you have to use gmax/3dmax to work with those meshes.

I'm only working with blender now for over a half year thus I have not much knowledge about the "monster", sorry. :D

When I installed Hsli's Sexy Outfits there wasn't a folder in override. It just placed a folder in My Documents>Bioware>DAO>Addins>etc. I do see msh, mhh, and dds files for other mods that have placed a folder into the override though. How did you install that mod so it placed a folder into the override instead?

Hm, i think you have to use e.g. the DAO mod manager to install the mod but all infos about the installation should be explained in Hsli's moddescription. It's as far as I know an override installation. :)

I tried using DAOMM to install it clean but it still puts a folder into My Documents>etc. I don't get a folder in the override. The file is a dazip file, should it be some other file type if I want to get access to the meshes? If it needs to be another type of file, how can I change it?

OK, as stated in the Description, ONLY the "All in one" version has a .dazip and a .override file. (Just downloaded and confirmed. Screenshot available on request. ;D )

IMPORTANT: For the all-in-one version, you must install both .dazip AND .override files! (Use DAO ModManager)

DAO-ModManager (DAMM) knows what to do with both of these file types, but you do have to extract them from the .zip archive first!

(The other Hsli Robes mods I checked contained individual .msh and .dds files.)
