Ok my PC specs are:
Radeon HD 7970

AMD- 8350 processor Black ed.

8g of ram

Windows 7

 

I have my game heavily modded using Lifesheild's endorsed list here is the link just find his name and click it to drop down the list. I am not using Moon re-size, lockpick, better bones, ANTZ, Better freckles, Apachii, Temptress race, Bow animation, Greatsword sheaths, Yamamaoto pose, Hell sword, Jaysus swords, simple crosshairs, smaller cursor or enhanced 3rd person.

I also use his ENB Unreal Cinema with the .157 Binary

 

Issue: Every time I go to grab loot quickly it crashes. Usually when I loot all, and do it in a fast manner it shuts down. Also, this causes Steam to re-validate the game, and it tells me it is missing 1 file every time (idk if that helps).

 

I ran BOSS, didn't fix anything. Ran TES5edit, and now there are very specific bits of mods that are showing up with an occasional orange text with red background. Does this mean I have to clean every single mod? Do I have to clean at all? lol sorry if that sounds silly, but I really have never had an issue before today.

That guide is not an installation guide...

 

It's just a modlist of what he is using. How about you ask him what and in which order everything must be installed? Simply clicking links and installing things "because he listed them" is not going to work. You need to read the mod pages, get all the required mods, follow installation instructions, deal with load orders (BOSS wont help you sort it 100% correct, more like 70-80% and sometimes just plain wrong).

 

 

About loot crashing your game it's mostly related to meshes having some compatibility issues with your body ( but it's hard to say when you install like 150 mods at once? )

Could be a lot of things. Quite a few of those mods conflict with each other and/or require cleaning. I would start with installing the Unofficial Patches.

Even using only the most endorsed and polished mods you will encounter errors and crashes if you have a large amount of them. At least from my experience.

My advice would be to reinstall a clean version of the game. Do your thing, clean the official plugins, grab SKSE, etc. Then choose a select few mods very carefully and run BOSS. You don't want to have to do this very many times or you'll end up just giving up on the game entirely. Good luck.

I don't encounter any issues using them, coming from a clean install (although I do use some slightly different mods now, but the mod list is pretty much the same, it's mostly derived from STEP).

 

To the OP:

 

Regarding load order I let BOSS order them and then place ELFX at the end of the list as per the authors instruction.

 

Also Ethereal Elven Overhaul requires being placed before UFO with Jenassa Makeover being placed after UFO in accordance to Willows installation instructions.

 

I don't think either of these differences are causing your problem however.

 

For the record (and I'm not saying don't use them) I have never used any unofficial patches for the game.

 

Lastly you are also using mods that are not on my own personal list, like Dance with Death. It's very possible you have installed something that doesn't go well with what I personally use. Remember however that my list isn't a definitive. It's only posted to give people an idea of what I use for my screenshots.

Thank you so much for the advice guys I really appreciate it! Unreal I LOVE your ENB! :smile: I don't understand how looting is affected by mods like Rabbits Plus or animation mods like Dance of Death to the point of my game crashing? Seems a little odd lol I only used the texture and mesh mods on that list and installed them according to the mod pages. With the exception of WATER I had no other conflicts at all. But regardless something obviously conflicted somehow.

 

I'm going to start over, I'm quite persistent so I won't get sick of it. I'm thinking maybe I'll just use the tried and true combinations instead, and live with not having every single texture look epic lol.
