Ok this is happening like ALL the time.

Im running, milding my own and killing the occasional beasty.

When something will go capatulting across the sky.

Sometimes they land close to me and sometimes they just said for miles, and at high speeds too.

Is there a radscorpion capatupult the enclave is trying to kill me with or something?

Like for real, I cant be the only one whos got flying radscorpions sailing from one end of the map to the other. :whistling:

havoc physics engine is to blame me thinks lol

I haven't encountered this, but flying deathclaws are pretty common.

As far as I can tell, when a deathclaw is hopelessly outnumbered (my endgame party includes 3 companions, all with pretty high-end weaponry) and cornered in the outdoor wasteland, it will never flee conventionally (I'm expect aggression is set at 2 and confidence at 3, with foolhardy as the AI mode). Instead, it will fly straight up into the air, and my NPC companions all point their guns skyward, till we move along. More rarely the deathclaw will drop down to the ground and behave normally after my party has moved on some distance.

Once had newly killed Super Mutants fly straight up into the air like rockets, watched them go and it was bizarrely amazing.

Then a Talon Merc died and the body shot horizontal to vanish into the distance. The only proof that he had been there was the assault rifle that he left behind.

Hand a car fall out of the air onto that small W Wharf place on the river shore where you can buy stuff from the old woman. It covered the front of her shed but she didn't even blink. Probably got nerves of steel or something.

Anyway, these and other odd effects add to the interesting quality of the game! Or at least I choose to see it this way so it doesn't annoy the hell out of me.

Its fun to speculate.

I've seen radscorpions moving under ground, and I've seen corpses of all kinds sink underground. What if the placement of all objects is made to be legal when a zone loads, and the radscorp remains get teleported above ground. Might the physics engine decide that an object moving from point "a" to point "b" in one frame must have a momentum of "x"?
