Squeecky
I had to update and used the auto-detect updater, and it broke Fallout again. Argh!

thomriis
allright try this. 1. obtain the two FX patches from microsoft http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2645594, and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2646060, Install them and reboot your computer when prompted. 2. run windows update to be sure you have all the latest software installed like C++frameworks or service packs, install and reboot your computer when prompted. (run it until no more updates appear) 3. go to http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/Pages/catalyst-uninstall-utility.aspx. and download the newest uninstall utillity for your catalyst drivers, run the program to remove all Amd graphic software, It can take up to 10 minutes and dont worry if your screen goes black  (Its not broken) he he, let it finish and reboot immediately whem prompted. 4.go to http://www.amd.com/drivers and choose , Desktop graphics , Radeon Hd series , Radeon hd 6xxx , and your operating system , (Do not use the auto-detect feature ) , download and install the catalyst software suite (choose express install) restart your computer and fallout 3 and your other games should run again  5. if this still dosnt work, go to http://www.amd.com/previous64 and try the catalyst 11.12 suite instead, i think the newest beta driver http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/AMDCatalyst13-6WINBetaDriver.aspx should work too  Pheeew i almost sounded like a proffesional there, been troubleshooting this on a different pc with AMD so im almost 100% certain it should work. Squeecky
I did give my email for those first two, then they send me more and said it wasn't tested and might cause problems, not to mention it wasn't on a https side, just a http. I'm abit.. paranoid when it comes down to it. D: I know I seem ungratefull, but this seems like alot without any secure websites.
