Dasim4
Sorry but this has become a pet peave of mine. Modders are continuously putting their items in Megaton only. Well I hate to break it to you but lots of us actually do blow Megaton off the map. In fact some of us actually kill Miora. Yea that's right we shoot that annoying bit*h in the head and enjoy it. So why not try making your stuff available to more than the nice people who leave Megaton alone. Think of the evil characters, those of us who actually role play the darker side. We want to try out your goodies too. So the next time you're crafting some beautiful new item for the game, drop a copy in Tenpenny or on one of the Caravan traders. Don't just put it in Megaton or you might be losing out on some downloads.

Riven1978
I am in agreement to this, this from someone who has a companion MOD out where he is only in Megaton (still looking for the little guy a home out there) and a Companion that is nowhere near megaton or tenpenny (Viktrika). I am hoping to fix it as soon as i can figure him a place to land where not a whole lot of people are Modding. I like to play all sides of the fence i actually have a good, neutral, and evil character (BTW Neutral is the hardest one, case you were wondering) and have to look each time to make sure i can get something all three of my chars can use
Dammomark
in my mod (not public .... yet) where i made a unique scope less .44Magnum i put it in each house specifically for this reason (so that you can only get one) although if someone doesn't complete the quest at all they don't get it
Triumph675
Well Megaton is really the only town in vanilla fallout that is anywhere complete. That and by changing the level lists of many characters they destroy any compatibility.
rolandb
Or maybe just include the item code in your description, for those of us who just want to play around with it.
oxmox
It makes no sense to destroy this town if you want to have gameplay depth, if you destroy the town at the beginning already nothing much left to do.
Dasim4
It makes no sense to destroy this town if you want to have gameplay depth, if you destroy the town at the beginning already nothing much left to do. That is totally off topic as this has nothing to do with how people play or whether what they do in their game makes sense to you or not. Btw I have over 130 hours in a game now in which I destroyed Megaton about 30 mins in. Your point is therefore pointless.
Dasim4
Well Megaton is really the only town in vanilla fallout that is anywhere complete. That and by changing the level lists of many characters they destroy any compatibility. So you're saying that the only viable place in the whole game for someone to place a new object is Craterside Supply? Do you realize how silly that is? Sorry but that's a lousy excuse for everyone putitng their items in a town that is made to be blown up. Not that it has to be blown up but in a lot of games, yea, it's gonna be blown up. There is a frikkin' nuclear bomb in the town square for god's sake. That makes putting items there completely pointless for those of us that chose to blow it up. At least provide the code for the item so we can use player.additem to give it to ourselves. A lot of people don't even have the courtesy to do that. Anyway I don't see how difficult it should be to add it to someone in Tenpenny or Rivet City. Surely that isn't going to spin the Fallout world off its axis. And yea this is really annoying me because practically every new mod I see is placed at Craterside Supply and I know I'm not the only one who no longer has a Craterside Supply in their game. So this isn't just about me. It's about me and every other player who is frustrated because we have no way to pick up these items without resorting to codes or the GECK. Callighan
Well simply put, if you start a new game, Megaton is likely the first town you'll go to. Since most modders would want their items to be usable as early as possible in the game, Megaton is an easy solution. I think more viable option to maximize compatibility are placing items in traveling vendors or Rivet City.
