Why the hell does everything go to Megaton?

Good point about a potent weapon in arefu being a little out of place, then again, maybe not, after all 5 people did manage to hold off The Family...

I guess my point is that Rivet City is just a little distant from the start of the game to make it a good place to put the big bangs or unique content. When you're looking at cities, only two (well technically three) are located on the main chain: Megaton, Rivet City and The Citadel, if you count that as a city. Of those rivet city is a bit far away, so is citadel, and citadel is closed off until the last quarter of the game, megaton can be blown all to hell, tenpenny can be wiped out too and it's quite far away, city-wise that leaves Paradise Falls (also capable of commonly being mass slaughtered), canterbury commons, Arefu (lacks a vendor), girdershade (lacks just about everything) and Little Lamplight (way out of the way, inconvenient layout).

It seems to me that megaton is the least of all evils though for content you absolutely 100% want to make sure is present in the game, Rivet City seems to be the next best thing I'll agree. It depends if you're willing to trade the fact it can't be blown up for the fact it's a bit distant and the layout doesn't always give you a good place to drop things in.

Suggested solution:

There is a area cell for post-bombing Megaton available in the editor. If Megaton is destroyed, the script just replaces the original Megaton exterior cells with the destroyed version.

If you want an item to be available in Megaton for both good and evil characters, in addition to its placement in pre-explosion Megaton, also put it in a metal box somewhere in the crater. Make two copies of your item, one in each Megaton.

Thereafter, a player has access to either the original item (in pre-explosion Megaton), the duplicate (in post-explosion Megaton), and for players who pick it up, detonate the bomb, and return, two copies. Modders taking this approach should make sure their repair lists in order.

You know sounding like your farts smell like perfume aint gonna encourage modders to help you OP

You sound like you're chucking a tantrum, when in reality if you really believed that the items didn't suit, you could simply just add them to your inventory via the console...it's not hard to find that via FOMM..
