NineTails1mod
Ok, not sure if this is a mod request or if there is something out there already. I am very new to this modding but I am now addicted and if only back in the day when I first started gaming in the 70s with Pong I would have never left my house. lol What I am looking for is a way to take a character preset and make the body my pc's It sounds like a simple question but for so long anytime a try to google it the only answers I get have to do with face presets and not body for the pc or change it around an all answers are about body slide and changing gear and followers. I am trying to use this body preset for my characterhttps://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/50685 I already use it with bodysilde for the gear and it works fine / I use demonica body now (Might have misspelled that) I play on a PC that my son helped me build that costs more than my first car with 64gb ram but I use a controllerbecause my back doesn't like sitting upright for that many hours. If I am in the wrong area please place dunce cap on my head and point me where I am suppose to be asking this. Thanks for all the help.
anjenthedog
Since this particular mod comes with its own bodyslide preset (Files tab: Charlotte - Bodyslide Preset) , the preset is easy enough. Download the mod And either install the bodyslide mod, or Open the archive file and navigate to the /Data/Caliente Tool/Bodyslide/SliderPresets/ folder and copy the file located there (Charlotte.xml) to the (game folder)/Data/Caliente Tool/Bodyslide/SliderPresets folder. then open Bodyslide and you should have that preset in your listings ***you'll need to use the same body type used for the mod (BHUNP, CBBE-3BBB, etc) as the preset's intended bodytype. Failure to do so will likely result in your disappointment.
NineTails1mod
I have done all that and have access to the body slide preset for my armor and such, what I am trying to get is to be able to load it as my characters body in racemenu. Kind of like how everyone posts face presets accessible in raemenu is there a way to do that for just your characters body without changing every NPC in the game. Now I could be totally lost since I am new to this but my understanding is that I access bodyside (Which I do on main Page of Vortex) but I can only adjust armor and clothing to match the preset and some followers depending if their bodyside was added. But I cannot access body slide to change my characters actual body. Right? That is only thorough race menu.
anjenthedog
Oh. For the racemenu preset, presuming you've installed the racemenu preset already, open racemenu, then navigate to the presets tab. Once there, click the load preset button. This will open a very low grade (but functional) file manager window from which you can choose a preset racemenu only goes so far. I realize some folks just go direct to racemenu. Dunno how that works but ok. For me Bodyslide is (IMO) a critical first step build, as it influences how racemenu settings work for a given instance. This defines your baseline body. this preset can then be used to fit armor and clothing. Once that's done, use racemenu to fine tune the model. (nips just a tad large? hips not quite right? (etc) The "correct" process is, as I see it, like this: install body physics model(s) you intended to use in your game (ex: CBBE-3BBB, BHUNP, etc) tweak whichever preset you've chosen for player nude body. Save preset (ex: "Sayah nude", ex: "modded athletic body nude") generate (Build) player nude body, then build *model specific* hands and feet modify preset used to generate player for cumbersome clothing (presuming player is a she of course) >> reduce nipples, perhaps pushup breast slightly and flatten (as if under heavy compressing clothing, etc), and save this modified version as "clothed" variant (ex: "Sayah Clothed") fit clothing/armor open game open racemenu tweak manually, or load preset, or load preset and tweak further. As far as I know, your baseline body directly affects how any existing racemenu preset will be applied (both for racial distinctions and for the body adjustments themselves)
NineTails1mod
I think I am getting the jest of it, I created the body slide preset but it doesn't show up in bodyslide. It does show up when I look at the files just not in the actual list when I am trying to edit outfits and such. Part of learning is trying so I will keep trying. A mod would be cool that you just drop the body style you want and poof your lady looks like it but then again that will also take the fun out of creating something yourself.. I will keep learning and one day post my own follower mod..(Dreams) lol I did post an image of her on my profile. not sure how to do it here but again will learn. Thanks for everything
anjenthedog
you "create" the preset within Bodyslide by tweaking the values of an existing preset and saving it as your own custom preset. Open Bodyslide Choose your body model (ex: SE ygNord 3BBB Body Amazing) from the body/outfit entry Chose a correlated preset (for the above, you'd want to choose a CBBE-3BBB compliant preset, for BHUNP, you'd want a BHUNP compliant preset, etc) Adjust the preset as you see fit Save the adjusted preset as your own (EX: "My Hawt Chick Naked") Tweak further for a heavy clothed variant (suppressed nipples, flatten breasts slightly, spread or lift breasts slightly to mimic what a heavy garment might impose on the breasts) Save this preset as something like "My Hawt Chick armored"Now you have your naked body preset for building the naked body, and a clothed variant for fitting to armors. Once you've built your body (again, using an appropriate physics model body for the body/outfit entry, and a model compliant preset) and fit some armor, you can open the game and do any follow-up racemenu fine tuning. I want to stress how important it is to use presets made for the body physics model you're using. If you use CBBE, you should use a CBBE preset to attain CBBE characteristics. For BHUNP, you must use a BHUNP preset, for CBBE-3BBB a CBBE-3BBB preset, and so forth. And again, this all depends on the infrastructure being set up correctly. HTD-SMP and CBPC are needed for the 3BBB stuff (BHUNP and CBBE-3BBB). The XPMSSE skeleton must be installed. etc.
