TheTinkerer
Gents and Ladies, I am attempting to "change" items around in Falkreath house basement. In particular, for this work, I am trying to modify the altar.Unfortunately... moving, replacing or even deleting the altar stand STILL brings it back and where it was before originally.I have noticed that some items, the ones that seem to be connected to the crafting bench somehow, reset to their vanilla positions, regardless of where I place them. If you check the IDs and references of the items, it looks relatively simple:- One "core" item that is enabled by a script somewhere- Clutter and decor items that are attached to the core item. It is actually quite elegant, if you think about it - enable one item and the rest will follow. So I am assuming that these "core" items are somehow referenced in the papyrus script by their unique IDs... but I have tried to mod/change the IDs as well to no avail. The furthest I've gotten is the "QUST 0100305E" reference... and got stuck. I have decent normal-programming-language background, but I am unfamiliar with the Creation Kit tool enough to solve this problem on my own, and would very much appreciate any help. Thanks Much.~T

Deleted49191408User
I have been messing around modding Lakeview Manor, What I have noticed that you must start a new game every time you change the landscape, position of a crafting table, etc. because your saved game will bring the items back. I am using start another life mod that you start off in this abandon prison. Before activating the statue of Mara, save the game. Why? It is because the skyrim world does not exist yet. This saves time on starting a new game. Now, you can not choose the property that you are modding as a land owner, because the mod will load items to their original places. That is in the houses themselves. The mod does not effect the loading of separate mods to the outside. As I use my own Lakeview exterior mod that extremely changes the land scape. Now on to the basement mod. Again you must load a new game. For I have modded the basement and the kitchen area of Lakeview heavily. If I do not start a new beginning of the game, the saved game will load in the old items. Hope this answered some questions here.
