Big trouble with MMM

Hello.

So the thing is this: MMM is destroying the balance of my game, and really, it broke it.

Since i got lvl 25 things are nasty, mostly at oblivion gates, as the only type of enemies i usually see are the stronger ones(whether they are the only ones spawned or destroyed the weaker ones, i dont know). I almost pull my hair out when in 4 consequetive oblivion gates the ONLY kind of enemy i found were reavers, lots and lots of reavers, every one able to disarm me(almost each 3 hits) stagger me (each two hits), paralize me, and in hordes of more than 20 per area...needless to say, i got mad at it.

This is not fun anymore, i got MMM because i wanted to see variety of creatures, but instead i only see the stronger ones wherever i go, and not just some, but a lot of them as well, and thats really unbearable. I can stand one or two uber monsters now and then, or a pack of medium ones sometimes, but just seing hordes of tough enemies all the time anywhere i go is frustrating. I want to play a more balanced game, not just a kill em all game where the only enemies are always stronger than you.

I had used many of the optional esps(no spiders, less reavers, reduced spawn rate, and are considering to add no reavers and no wyrms), but i dont want to end up negating all that MMM has to offer, even if i cant stand to see other reaver, balrog, wyvenr or spider, that doesn't mean that i want to banish them from the game, i still want to see them, but with less frequency, not everywhere.

I really want to ask if there is a way to balance the game, and make it more static and bearable, with these tough guys appearing less times and in manageable quanties, so i can enjoy seing the rest of the creatures, and have easy times as i have hard times(one gate with some reavers and balrogs, but the other with weaker daedra, and a third with medium ones....a varied experience). I want a more static and balanced experience, do you have any suggestions?.

Btw: I will not adjust the difficulty slider, or is in default or higher.

I have experienced your frustration, which is what got me into modding. Once I got completely fed up with goblin mines full of goblin warlords and shamen, only the strongest type of daedra everywhere, etc, I tried Francescos, MMM and OOO to see if they would improve the game for me.

Ultimately all of them have shortfalls from my point of view, so I have taken to putting together my own overhaul mod to address the issues.

The solution for me may not be the solution for you, but it sounds like you are running into the normal levelled list problem, and without adjusting some fairly fundamental game mechanics you can't really get around it. You would probably need to change a lot of the levelled lists plus two game variables for random monsters based on your level and treasure.

One of the other annoyances is levelled creatures and NPCs (like bandits, marauders, etc), especially the ones that don't cap out. I have removed the levelled section from most characters and monsters and heavily modified levelled lists so they provide for randomness and variety without destroying game immersion for me.

Probably not the answer you were looking for. Other people may have a less drastic solution for you.
