Inquart
Okay, so I'm playing Skyrim again, I started yesterday and just got out of Riverwood to explore a little bit. A moment ago I stumbled upon Valdr, sitting right next to Moss Mother Cavern and asking for help, as usual. Well, maybe "sitting" is not the best word as he is...floating, levitating in the air. Of course I can't talk to him when he's like that, so I tried to reload - nothing changed, he still believes he can fly, only this time he didn't call out to me either. It's like he's there, but not there - he's visible and all, but I can't talk with him or anything. I killed him and then resurrected. Guess what he did? Went home, just like that - no dialogue about healing potion or his dead friends, nothing! Then I tried to enter the cave (just enter, without clearing it) - when I get back to Skyrim proper, he thanked me for healing him and went on about how he can't go until his friend are avenged and Spriggans dead. Sorry if I sound a bit upset, but I have the lastest game version, all unofficial patches and things like that still happen, right at the beginning of the game...what's most annoying is that it's just some misc quest, get in, kill everything, get out, and I might not be able to complete it normally anyway. I'd be grateful for any help here, but it wouldn't surprise me if I'm the only one with that bug. Anyway, any ideas?
Lord Garon
Instead of killing him, try a disable-enable from the console. That's worked for me on different glitches. I've never seen Valdr messed up.
Inquart
Somehow I never thought about disabling and enabling (I guess I was afraid that'll mess things up even more), but I managed to get around that glitch in the meantime - Valdr still thought I healed him even though I didn't, but at least he stopped floating there and the rest of the quest went like it should have in the first place. But thanks for the tip, it might come useful in the future!
Jenrose
I disabled and enabled and he crouchlimped away, I assume to his log, and everything proceeded normally. I say "assume" because I was stuck in dialogue and couldn't actually see him until he had a potion.
